About the wine

Blooming and enchanting landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Tedeschi conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. You will definitely have a lot of fun with the fine Amarone Classico Riserva 'Capitel Monte Olmi' DOC.

TedeschiRed wine | 75clThe multi-faceted taste nuances of this wine result from the use of the grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone.

Tasting note
The distinctive bouquet of black pepper and vanilla flirts skillfully with your sense of smell. Next, refreshing nuances of raspberry and green pepper will resolutely and consciously convince your taste buds. Its elegant light pink crowns every festive occasion with style and magic. You won't find this shade in any color palette. A fruity red wine with a medium-strong body and dominant acidity, which unfolds its complex structure in a balanced way with finely developed tannins on the tongue and palate.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team is recommended for roasts, hearty meat dishes and game. Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 17°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: until 2025.
Vinification
The vinification took place as follows: the grapes are carefully harvested in September, they are dried for 4 months on racks in well-ventilated rooms, losing 30-40% of their weight. This wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. The expansion takes place in Slavonian wooden barrels for about 30 months. In 1918 Riccardo bought a wonderful vineyard called Monte Olmi in Pedemonte della Valpolicella. The vineyard, 2.5 ha, oriented south-west, is terraced on a steep slope. The enormous steepness prevents water from accumulating during heavy rains, the depth of the mostly loamy-limestone soil structure retains moisture in drought. Acidity 6.6 g/l - dry extract: 46 g/l - residual sugar: 3.9 g/l.
