Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC Vigneto Monte Sant'Urbano 2019 - Speri Viticoltori

About the wine

The Speri family has been growing wine for seven generations. Times have changed, but the old values have remained. The pride of living in an exceptional region such as Valpolicella has also remained. Even in this company, people don't lean back, but every wine year is a new challenge to achieve the best possible results. The excellent family-owned locations in the municipalities of Negrar, Fumane and San Pietro Incariano are of great advantage and form the basis for a beautiful range of excellent wines.

Tasting note
A typical Amarone: long-lasting, intense and brick-red. The nose is beguiled by full characteristic scents of dried fruits, spices such as licorice, pepper and clove, as well as fruity plum notes. There is also a touch of truffle. The palate is enchanted by pleasant freshness, soft tannins and a harmonious, full-bodied structure, beautiful fruit, spice and roasted aromas and an aromatic finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef dishes with sauce.
Vinification
Information about vinification: The fully ripe grapes for Amarone wine are dried for several months. As a result, the juice volume is reduced by up to half and important aroma-forming processes take place in the grape berries. After slow fermentation, Amarone wine is stored and aged for 36 months in large wooden barrels and then in the bottle for 12 months.
