About the wine
Beautiful and blooming landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Cantina al Poggio conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this strong Pinot Noir 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Pinot Noir is excellent to serve with duck or red meat.
Tasting note
A typical Amarone: garnet red, full, supple and balanced. In advance, scents of blackberry, elderberry, dried plum and pleasant cocoa and chocolate notes rise in the nose, which are also repeated on the palate and result in a long, lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with salami, pies and terrines, a hearty brasato, braised veal or pork, pasta, pizza and polenta.
