About the wine
We have a special, outstanding red wine from 2016 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The winemaker from the Italian winery Sarotto has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the blooming and fertile landscape of Piedmont. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Barbera is ideal to be served with stews or strong, dark meat.
Tasting note
Color: Rich ruby with strong purple reflections. Aroma: Lightly closed, compote-like on the nose, blackberry, warm roasted notes, wood and cocoa with a rich vanilla note in the finale. Body: Distinctive acidity, textured, sweet on the palate, finely tart, earthy components on the finish and slightly mineral. Quality: A terroir-influenced, elegant wine with storage potential. Carafing is worthwhile as it promotes a variety of aromas.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with classic stews, veal shanks, creamy saffron risotto with fine truffle slices.
