The winemaker from the South African winery Bartinney has absolutely mastered his craft. Tasting note
The Cabernet Sauvignon is a true classic with a rich aroma that reveals cassis, tobacco and pencil leads on the nose. Delicious, rich plums and chocolate are structured by firm but restrained tannins that give way to an elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with braised beef or lamb stews.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested from 8 different Cabernet varieties from our farm and vinified separately. Fermentation lasts up to 14 days and then leads to another maceration on the skin before the must is pressed. The Cabernet is aged for 18 months in 30% new French wooden barrels.
