About the wine

Treat your family and friends to Christmas dinner with this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 — Château Mouton Rothschild Cru classé Pauillac AC. In the north of the city of Bordeaux are the gravelly, gravelly soils that offer the winemaker from the French winery Château Mouton-Rothschild everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal to be served with red meat or pizza with mushrooms.

Tasting note
The “baroque” Rothschild. Art shapes the Mouton Rothschild winery in Pauillac. The labels designed by renowned artists, the museum and, of course, the wine are products that are second to none. Mouton Rothschild remains to this day the only wine that changed the Bordeaux classification of 1855 and was able to join the four largest Bordeaux wines at the top of the classification in 1973. Countless excellent wines have now proven that it belongs there. The Mouton 2016 is made up of Cabernet Sauvignin 94% and Merlot 6%. On the nose, the deep dark wine shows concentrated fruit aromas: cassis, prunes and elderberry, underscored by a tar note and minty nuances. The beautiful roasted note that comes from the toasted oak barrels is clearly recognizable. Very dense and mouth-filling on the palate, almost sensual, with a long finish.
