About the wine

Cantina di Cavalieri has been active since the beginning of the 20th century. The grapes come from organic cultivation of about 8 hectares of vineyards in the production area of Verdicchio di Matelica doc. The company vinifies almost exclusively Verdicchio grapes and a small proportion of red grape varieties (Pinot Nero, Merlot, Sangiovese). The land is farmed according to the principles of organic farming. Eugenio and Gabriele Benedetti are passionate and profound connoisseurs of the potential of Matelica wines, which are very special and authentic due to the height of the vineyards at the foot of the hills and the richness and variety of microclimatic conditions.
