Tasting note
Garnet red color with purple reflections and an intense nose. Aromas of ripe wild berries accompanied by plums and cherries, with light balsamic notes and a hint of cocoa. Extremely silky on the palate, with very round tannins. It is nice and meaty and pleasant, with the perfect amount of acidity, which provides a certain freshness. In Jumilla in Murcia, these Monastrell grapes matured on very old vines. The Macho Man helps the almost displaced Monastrell grape variety make a huge comeback!
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 2016 - 2018. Flaschenpöstler tip: Macho Man Monastrell Jumilla DO goes perfectly with brasato, lamb and polenta.
