About the wine
A Primitivo in a tailored suit: Very elegant and dense wine with aromas from plums, ripe cherries, dried figs and darker chocolate Powerful but velvety and balanced. Cantine Pliniana was founded in 1964 by a group of winegrowers from Manduria. The cooperative has played an important role in the development of high-quality viticulture in Puglia. It is true that they did not market their wines themselves until 2024, but sold them to larger producers. For the 60th anniversary, they ventured into the limelight — with considerable success. Won big gold at Mundus Vini and gold at the Berlin Wine Trophy.

Tasting note
Flavours of plums, ripe cherries, dried figs and dark chocolate. Powerful, yet velvety and balanced. Elegant and tight.

Goes well with red meats and aged cheeses.
Vinification
Late harvest, pre-fermentation maceration at 12-14°C, fermentation for 20 days at 25/27°C, malolactic fermentation in steel and aging on fine yeast.
