About the wine
Fertile and blooming landscapes of Tuscany give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Antinori conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with ribeye steak or gruyère burger.
Tasting note
The fruity bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco skilfully plays with your sense of smell. Subsequently, distinctive nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper resolutely and consciously convince your senses of taste. A fruity red wine with a strong body and dominant acidity, which develops its complex structure harmoniously with finely developed tannins on the tongue and palate.
Culinary recommendation
A noble accompaniment to elegant pasta dishes, but also goes well with rabbits or wild fowl.
Vinification
Information on vinification: Starting with the 2011 vintage, the grapes for the Marchese Antinori Chianti classico docg Riserva come exclusively from vines of the renowned Tenuta Tignanello. This makes the popular classic second wine of this estate with a sonorous name. After harvesting, fermentation and careful pressing of the grapes, the young wine matures in barriques for 14 months. This is followed by a further 12 months of bottle aging.
