About the wine
Give yourself a treat for the senses with the delicious Plenio Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Riserva from 2014! With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian WINERY Umani Ronchi masters this white wine in the fertile and blooming landscape of the Marche region.
Tasting note
Light yellow with golden reflections. On the nose, a distinct fruit bouquet with notes of ripe quince, pear and bergamot. This is accompanied by fine, mineral-looking notes. Rich, supple and elegant on the palate. A powerful and intense wine with a wonderfully long finish.
Culinary recommendation
A poem about fish carpaccio or poultry combined with vegetables.
Vinification
Only the best vines are used for this Riserva white wine. The autochthonous grape variety Verdicchio is harvested by hand. After gentle pressing, alcoholic fermentation takes place. One batch of 40% in 5,000 liter French oak barrels, the second part ferments at controlled temperatures in steel tanks. The subsequent expansion takes 12 months. During this time, the white wine remains in contact with its own yeast. Extraction and filtration are followed by bottling. The wine is then allowed to rest in the bottle for six months.
