About the wine
At the beginning of the 1970s, a few selected Sangiovese clones were planted in Poggio Rosso. Poggio Rosso is the result of a careful selection of this grape variety from several plots of the eponymous vineyard and today represents the excellence of San Felice's terroir. A wine of great density and elegance, produced in limited quantities and especially in the best vintages.

Tasting note
The wine reflects the expression of San Felice's terroir. Deep ruby red and distinctive bouquet of plum, blackberry and raspberry. Full and intense on the palate, with soft tannins and balanced acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dishes, game, mushrooms, truffles or hard cheese.
Vinification
20 months in French oak barrels. Aged for 15 months in bottle.
