Vinification
The grapes for Markus Molitor's Riesling trocken Wehlener Klosterberg Kabinett were gently ground and macerated on the berry skins for several hours. These Riesling grapes from the estate's home are very rich in aromas and minerals and come from light to medium-heavy, stony Devonian slate weathered soil with considerable iron content. The must was fermented spontaneously slowly and coolly, so that the fruity aromas of the wine could fully develop. This was followed by careful aging in large wooden barrels, so that a perfectly balanced and long-lasting wine could develop.
