Dark ruby red robe with purple-black reflections, strong aromas of dark fruits, blackcurrant, cherry paired with a little pepper and lots of spice. On the palate, lots of fruit, almost ink-like density, pleasant minerals, lots of spice and well-integrated velvety tannins. A wonderfully powerful and charming St. Joseph.
It goes well with hearty meat dishes, lamb, beef, veal stew, game and dark poultry.
The grapes from 30-year-old vines are harvested by hand. After strict selection, they are fermented in steel and aged in barriques for 12 months.
