About the wine
The farm, which dates back to the 14th century, is located in the area where the classical St. Magdalenians originated. The traditional company that has always cultivated and processed vines into wine - Vernatsch on the hill and Lagrein in the Eisack plain - has been owned by the same family for 180 years. In the last century alone, three generations have cultivated the vines and houses. In 1983, the farm was taken over by Franz Gojer and the wines were marketed himself. The Cru site Karneid is a western slope at an altitude of 600 m, where the Kerner is cultivated. Kerner is a cross between Riesling and Trollinger (which in turn comes from the red grape variety Vernatsch).
