A must for connoisseurs, this outstanding Prugnolo Gentile 2014 — Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG! The winemaker from the Italian winery Antinori has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the flourishing and fertile Tuscan countryside. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Prugnolo Gentile with Parma ham or porcini mushroom risotto.
Tasting note
A nice, classic Montepulciano. The aroma with a strong licorice note is very typical and almost amazingly intense. Notes of violets, charcoal and dried fruits are also slightly more subtle. Nice, soft and seductive fullness, solid body with good, slightly sandy tannins and refreshing acidity. Sounds like a long time with red cherries and licorice again. An excellent food companion!
