About the wine

Aimé Sabon founded the domain in 1967. Domaine de la Janasse has risen with the region, and up to the top, where it is now indispensable under the new generation Christophe and Isabelle Sabon. In the small Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation alone, the domain has almost 20 hectares of vineyards with mystical vines, from Grenache to Mouvèrdre to Syrah, there are 100-year-old vines. A treasure that is maintained here, the cultivation is organic and there is only minimal intervention in the cellar to let the unique terroirs speak for themselves, spontaneous fermentation, no filtration, hardly any new wood. The wines are fascinating unique pieces, with an unspoilt, classic vein and noble elegance, with wonderful freshness and comparatively low alcohol levels for the region. Châteauneuf-du-Pape as if from a picture book, without sweet excesses. World class!

Terre de Bussière IGP
Landgraf, has something noble, but in a very touching way also something trembling, a lot of calm, own nature, dark, dense and ripe red fruit, also dark green warm-fresh notes, fir, idiosyncratic, original notes, also leather, and then it shines through, the dark, mineral-fresh elegance. On the palate, lots of natural charm, ripe, dark fruit, and this amiable idiosyncratic, quirky elegance, wild, natural tones and a dark, cool, noble minerality. Has something loving, deeply human, a warm, good and noble soul, absolutely wonderful!
Flaschenpost team tip: Terre de Bussière IGP goes perfectly with red meat, pizza with mushrooms and ribeye steak.
Selective reading and sorting by hand. Fermentation of the predominantly destemmed berries with vineyard's own yeasts, maturation and long maturation partly in concrete tanks, sometimes in large wooden feeders, unfiltered.
