About the wine

The Grabenwerkstatt - a very small company (2 ha) and very big wines. As much as you wish the two friendly young winemakers a huge success, you hope that the whole thing will remain small after all. Everything is done by hand here, and sometimes there are no alternatives at all, as their small plots in Spitzer Graben are so difficult to access. This is where some of the highest plots of land in the Wachau are located. Produced biodynamically under Michalel Linke and Franz Hofbauer, beguiling, typical wines are produced here, taut, fresh and yet tempting with ripe fruit. A small wine miracle - since 2013! Attention: Small quantity, highly sought after!

Clarified dog! Exudes a lot of concentration and friendly peace, cool and rational on the one hand, but never cold or calculating, fresh, bright, white and yellow fruits, but also engaging warmth, subtle sweetness, also lots of herbal notes, mustard. However, a lack of impulsivity should not be confused with a lack of passion here. Determined and exciting on the palate, bright fruit and sparkling minerality, slightly peppery, yet never completely unbridled here either, always plays confidently, from freshness to sweet notes, everything firmly in hand, delights once again in the end with its bright, vital style, how vitality and seriousness are combined here! Perfect as an accompaniment and entertainment!

Very selective reading by hand. Fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in steel tanks, prolonged yeast storage, no fining or filtration.
