About the wine

Founded in 2001 by Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, both winemakers and couple, invested in old vineyards and acquired land in the Pinhão Valley. “Our goal is to create wines that reflect the character of traditional vineyards and grape varieties from the Douro Valley. Wines balanced between concentration, complexity and elegance.

Impenetrable purple. On the nose, ripe plums, black cherries and cassis as well as fine wood tones. Delicate black cherries, cedarwood, elderberry and nuances of dark chocolate on the palate. An intense and complex yet elegant wine, with silky tannins and spicy minerality. Very good storage potential.
Goes well with beef, stews and cheese.
Vinified in stone vats and trodden during the 10-day fermentation. It is then pressed and aged for 20 months in new French barriques.
