About the wine

PEACH - QUINCE - SPICY The Riesling grapes come from the sites of the Trittenheimer Altärchen and the Rosengärtchen from the clay slate weathering soil. Opposite, separated from the Moselle riverbed, the two locations tell each other their love stories. They agree: stress-free and uncomplicated drinking flow should be the promise of this everyday hero. A well-structured sweetness and acidity game with fine aromas of lime, gooseberry and apple meets fresh minerals. Classic, well-balanced, typically Moselle.

Vom Schiefer Riesling Feinherb
The classic, traditional Riesling style on the Moselle has always produced wines with fine residual sweetness. The 'Vom Schiefer Riesling feinherb' builds on this tradition and forms the introduction to Eva Clüsserath's mineral steep Rieslings. The vines for this wine come from three different individual vineyards: The 'Trittenheimer Altärchen' with weathered clay slate soils is located on the Trittenheim Moselle side and produces Rieslings with aromas of citrus, grapefruit and orange peel. The rose garden with loamy clay slate weathered soils is located north of Trittenheim. The single vineyard Sonnenlay is located near Mülheim in a side valley of the Moselle and conveys filigree, citrus-like, slightly mineral aromas. The fine combination of sweetness and acid thus creates a balanced, harmonious example of the classic taste of this region with finely integrated, mineral backbone
Goes well with salmon, ginger and wasabi poke bowls.
The grapes are picked by hand and gently pressed. Spontaneous fermentation in classic Moselle wooden barrels (fuder barrel). After that, the wine is on the lees until June.
