About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Alovini has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the blooming and fertile landscape in Basilicata. We have a special, outstanding red wine from 2013 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Tasting note
Intense ruby red, vinous bouquet with delicate notes of undergrowth and spices, dry, full and spicy taste with a mineral background, large structure, noble tannins, heavy and velvety.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Alvòlo Aglianico del Vulture DOC goes well with fried potatoes, leek vegetables and beef tartare.
Vinification
Hand-picked, slightly dried grapes (appassimento), long maceration. Ageing in barriques for 12 months and bottle aging for at least 6 months.
