About the wine

Three Austrian star winegrowers from Wachau, Southern Styria and Burgenland joined forces in 1995 to produce a new Austrian cult wine. His name: Arachon T.FX.T. The two T's stand for the recently deceased Tibor Szemes and Manfred Tement, FX for Franz Xaver Pichler. The success of this trio did not last long. Arachon is a medieval name for the wine-growing town of Horitschon. Three dozen contract winegrowers currently work 23 hectares of vineyards with heavy loam and loess soils here for the production of the wine according to specified guidelines. Pressing and further vinification are also carried out in close cooperation between the three directors and the winemaker of the United Winemakers Horitschon.

Tasting note
Its unparalleled ruby red color crowns every festive occasion with style and elegance. You won't find this shade in any color catalog. The fruity bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco shows aromatic complexity and plenty of pleasure potential. The dominant notes of black cherry, black plum and black pepper shape its individual texture. A fruity red wine with a strong body and dominant acidity, which harmoniously develops its lively structure with finely developed tannins on the tongue and palate.
