About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Alario Claudio is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the sunny and fertile Piedmont countryside. The biting red wine 2014 — Barbera d'Alba Valletta DOC is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Barbera with hearty, dark meat or stews.

Tasting note
Deep ruby red, intense bouquet reminiscent of blackberries and plums, distinct bitter almond notes with some woody and spicy notes, in the mouth full, juicy and balanced, with pleasant acidity and polished tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty vegetable and meat dishes (roast, lamb, game) and spicy cheeses.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation over 10 days in stainless steel tanks and 18 months aging in barriques, made from 50% new oak wood.
