About the wine
To get a feel for the barren landscape aesthetics in Catalonia, there is no way around this red wine, which the Spanish winery Cellers Can Blau masters with a keen sense of texture. With the fine Can Blau, do/mo, which was produced in 2014, you will definitely have a lot of fun.
Tasting note
Youthful purple-red. Beautiful, complex fragrance, notes of violets, dried fruits, ground rock, smoked fat, charcoal. Crunchy and juicy, slightly dry tannin with grip, well balanced with medium richness, nice aftertaste of floral aromas and some whiskey. Very unique character wine, brings the Montsant style beautifully into the glass.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at slightly chilled 15°-17°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: up to 10 years. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with game, barbecue and roasted vegetables.
Vinification
Harvested and selected by hand. The Garnacha vineyards grow on slate soils, the Cariñena vineyards on clay and the Syrah on limestone, i.e. three different terroirs combined in one bottle! The medium wine Can Blau is aged for 12 months in new and used French oak barrels.
