The entire estate has been here for almost 1000 years and even the history of the current owners dates back to the 14th century, but back then the Suriols were farmers who worked here for the nobility. Anyone who can look back so long in the family also gets a completely different sense of time, and also looks ahead differently, wants to preserve tradition, knowledge, nature, and these are exactly the standards here at Castillo de Grabuac, where the Suriol family lives today and has been growing wine since the 1980s. A pioneer in organic farming in Pénedes (certified back in 1996), and a shining star in the Cava sky. Anyone who makes such characterful, self-confident but also subtle wines does not need any additives, and no dosage when it comes to frothing! It is what it is: great!
