About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Vizcarra has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the enchanting and graceful landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon). If you're looking for something special, don't miss out on this fresh Tempranillo 2014 — Celia DO. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This tempranillo is ideal to serve with red meat or polenta.
Tasting note
A rare, small special cuvée dedicated to the older one, to his two daughters. Composed with around 95% Tempranillo and 5% Garnacha. An inviting nose with aromas of dark cherries, plums, some pomegranate and figs, underpinned with fine spicy notes of roasted almonds, licorice and some light tobacco. Powerful on the palate, with concentration, depth and lots of fine tannin. ONLY 2000 BOTTLES PRODUCED!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled or fried meat, game, cheese, Iberian pata negra ham.
