Tasting note
Fresh, precise and mineral on the nose, with aromas of lemon, green apple, limestone, white flowers and a touch of wet chalk. Firm and concentrated on the palate, with gripping acidity, fine fruit and a salty, slightly smoky minerality on the finish. Butteaux is typically a bit more reserved and cooler than Montmains, but with particularly elegant depth and durability.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with oysters, grilled fish, scallops, risotto with lemon or asparagus, fresh goat cheese, or as an elegant accompaniment to seafood cuisine.
