About the wine
Treat yourself and your guests to the senses with the fine Chardonnay di Toscana IGT I Sistri from 2015! The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Fattoria di Felsina conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience.
Tasting note
The I Sistri is a rich straw yellow. The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe apricots, peaches, tropical fruits, sweet spices, dried flowers and some vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and slightly creamy with a strong acid structure, lots of exotic fruit and a long-lasting and refreshing finish. A graceful and wonderfully harmonious Chardonnay.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish and seafood, risotto, light meat dishes, charcuterie.
Vinification
Fèlsina began in the early 1980s with the first attempts to plant French Chardonnay clones at the nearby Farnetella winery. New plots were planted step by step from the Ombrone River to the Poggiolo Farm, experimenting with various clones, rootstocks and soil formations. In 1987, the first “I Sistri” was pressed. The grapes are picked by hand and then gently pressed. Fermentation and aging take place in French barriques for 10-12 months. After bottling, the wine is left to rest in the bottle for at least another 3 months
