Tasting note
The Château fontenil Fronsac's playful bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco shows aromatic complexity and plenty of potential for enjoyment. The dominant notes of black cherry, black plum and black pepper shape their individual texture. Its elegant ruby red color is the icing on the cake for any special occasion. Your friends will tell you. A strong body and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which, harmoniously with fine tannins in the mouth, shows lots of character and class.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Château fontenil Fronsac goes well with red meat, ribeye steak and pizza with mushrooms.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: The harvested grapes were meticulously sorted, and the berries were destemmed uncrushed by hand. This is pure grape elixir, juice without bitterness. In the mouth, racy freshness with rich, black fruit, dense, polished tannins, cleanly defined, neither bitter nor rough or brittle. The method seems to yield extremely good material. The breed goes all the way to the finale, everything playfully prances around the black fruit. Ageing for 15-18 months in French barriques.
