About the wine

The Davaz family's parents' winery in Fläsch wasn't big enough to guarantee the two sons an income, so Johannes Davaz moved to the Poggio al Sole estate near Tavernelle, which he acquired in 1990. Trained in Wädenswil, he and his wife rebuilt the run-down property and restored it to its former glory. The efforts have paid off. With its honest, straightforward and typical wines, Poggio al Sole is currently one of the absolute top companies in Chianti Classico.

Tasting note
