About the wine
The vineyard of “Les Champauvins” is about 34 ha in size and is located directly on the border with the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, i.e. a few meters away it would be a Châteauneuf du Pape and cost twice as much. But that's how it became “just” a Côtes du Rhône, but what a! If you are not interested in the name but only in high-quality wine, this is the right place for you. Good “Châteauneuf du Pape” couldn't be cheaper. Neighbor to the famous Château de Beaucastel!

Tasting note
Black currants, ripe cherries and lots of spices in the bouquet. Many ripe fruits and spices on the palate too, harmonious and balanced, very tasty, soft tannins, an invigorating finale.
Culinary recommendation
Veal liver with sauce, duck breast with pepper sauce, ham from Bayonne
Vinification
Grenache is aged in steel tanks, Syrah and Mourvèdre in 3-year barriques.
