About the wine
We have a special, strong Pinot Noir from 2015 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. You can describe the landscape in Basel with words such as hilly. However, the Swiss winery Siebe Dupf Kellerei is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Pinot Noir with cheese or duck.

Tasting note
In this noble cuvée, the power of Cabernet Dorsa and the elegance of Pinot Noir are harmoniously combined. Tempting aromas of dark berries, cherries, sour cherries, herbs and light roasted aromas inspire both the nose and the palate. The subtle wood finish gives the wine structure without dominating it. A strong yet fresh top cuvée from our region with a long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with regional specialities, z'vieriplättli, meat dishes, poultry, vegetarian dishes, cheese.
Vinification
The two types of grapes are vinified separately. Some of the wine is then aged for approx. 3-4 months in used 500-liter oak barrels made from Liestaler wood. The other part is aged in steel tanks. The aim is to present a wine with power, harmony, length and elegance.
