The city of Lausanne is the proud owner of this steep vineyard. The wine is sold at a public auction every year. The Clos des Abbayes is spectacularly situated on the steep slopes of the Dézaley appellation in Lavaux. This (in addition to calamine) is the only one in Lavaux allowed to bear the addition “Grand Cru”. This Chasselas smells delicately of white flowers, yoghurt and yellow stone fruit. On the palate, it is very harmonious, spicy, juicy and soft.
