About the wine
Treat your family and friends at Christmas dinner with this hearty Nerello 2019 — Feudo Pignatone Etna Rosso DOC. Blooming and fertile landscapes in Sicily give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Emiliano Falsini conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Nerello is ideal with Sicilian pasta dishes or beef goulash.

Tasting note
The ruby red, Etna Rosso is complex and wild with clear notes of: cranberries, blackberries, roses and wild herbs, which go hand in hand with mineral, earthy influences and dry wood. What seems precise and clear on the scent is supported on the palate by brilliant tartaric acid and a firm but fine-grained tannin.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fried red meat, game fowl, grilled vegetables or aged cheese.
Vinification
The Emiliano Falsini 'Feudo Pignatone' Etna Rosso 2019 comes from an approximately 100-year-old vineyard near Randazzo. The mixed set with Nerello Mascalese and smaller portions of Nerello Cappuccino is around 700 meters above sea level. The grapes were harvested by hand from the individual vines and fermented as whole grapes in the winery. After fermentation, the wine was first aged for 12 months in used barriques and then in cement tanks for half a year. Organically grown.
