About the wine
The two Sicilian wine professionals Salvatore di Gaetano and Vinzia Novara founded the Firriato wine company in 1984 out of passion and commitment to their home country. With the “Harmonium,” they have succeeded in reconciling the sheer indomitable power of Nero d'Avola with the typical elegance of Firriato. As a result, this wine became a model of modern Sicilian wine culture and has also caused a sensation among wine critics.
Tasting note
Nice dark ruby red. On the nose, wonderful notes of ripe plums and black cherries underpinned with black chocolate and spicy aromas. Very concentrated in the mouth, strong, warm with perfectly integrated tannins, very harmonious and balanced.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Flaschenpöstler tip: Harmonium Nero d'Avola IGT goes well with pasta, risotto and hard cheese.
