Light golden yellow - clean, linear nose with fresh fruity notes of orange and lemon zest as well as floral notes. Although aging in 30% new oak from Burgundy gives the wine greater complexity and more and more interesting structure on the palate, the classic barrique-roasted aromas are missing because the 500 liter barrels are not “toasted”. A Chardonnay that reflects its origins from the cool Elgin growing region in a nuanced and subtle way.
