About the wine
With this distinctive red wine 2015 — Lagrein Castel Turmhof DOC, the term taste takes on a new meaning. The winemaker from the Italian winery Chistoph Tiefenbrunner masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the picturesque and blooming landscape of South Tyrol. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Lagrein with Riz Casimir or seafood.
Tasting note
A strong garnet red with purple reflections characterizes its color, its bouquet a delicate aroma with characteristic violet, cherry notes and delicate spicy notes in the background, which underline the full and round fruit flavor. Fine-grained tannins and pleasant acidity support the long aftertaste of this typical South Tyrolean wine.
Culinary recommendation
The following period is the ideal enjoyment phase of this wine: 2011 - 2016 Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with seafood and Riz Casimir.
Vinification
Mash fermentation in concrete tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and maturation for 10 months in large and small wooden barrels.
