About the wine

Ca' del Baio is an old family business owned by the Grasso family. It is now run by Giulio and Luciana and their three daughters Valentina, Paola and Federico. The total of 28 hectares of vineyards are located in the municipalities of Treiso and Barbaresco.

Tasting note
Light garnet red, typical bouquet with notes of cherries, plums and violets, accompanied by hints of licorice and mushrooms, on the palate it is elegant, with smooth tannins and medium richness.
Culinary recommendation
An ideal accompaniment to braised roasts, lamb, offal and game dishes, as well as hard cheese.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks for around 15 days. Subsequent aging for 12 months in large oak barrels.
