About the wine
Wonderful landscapes in Levante give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Casa Rojo conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when offered with Gruyère Burger or Ribeye Steak.
Tasting note
A unique red wine - a journey from the north of Spain to the south: 50% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) from Ribera del Duero and 50% Monastrell from Murcia. LIntensive ruby red. Intense aromas of red fruits, plus elegant notes of cocoa, roasted aromas and leather. Great pleasure on the palate, with a well-balanced acidity and freshness. Long finish with well-polished and firm tannins that bring out the wine's body.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The recommended period for enjoying this wine is during the following period: Now until 2027. With red meat, ribeye steak and Gruyère burger, Flaschenpöstler recommend this Las viñas bastardas.
Vinification
12 months in new French barriques. The Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) comes from Ribera del Dueros vines that are between 35 and 100 years old. The Monastrell comes from 8 different plots 600 meters above sea level in the northern part of the “Sierra de la Pila” National Park (Murcia).
