Brilliant lemon yellow — the nose itself shows a beguiling potpourri of aromas of citrus fruits, guavas, peaches and nectarines, quinces and ripe apples. There are also mineral notes of wet pebbles, cereal tones of porridge and spicy nuances of vanilla and ginger. On the palate, the fireworks continue right away and the impressions are roughly the same: lots of multi-faceted fruit, spice and a hint of minerality. The magnificently ripe Chenin Blanc grapes from one of the highest altitudes in Stark-Condé matured for 8 months in a combination of amphorae and oak barrels.
