About the wine
An elegant and powerful Pinot Noir from the renowned Grand Cru “Clos du Roi” in the Corton appellation, which reflects the essence of the terroir and the expertise of Olivier Leflaive.

Tasting note
The wine is deep ruby red. On the nose, intense aromas of black cherries, blackberries and violets develop, accompanied by subtle notes of spices and undergrowth. On the palate, it shows an impressive balance between fruit and tannin, with a silky texture and a long, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with game dishes, rack of lamb or aged hard cheese.
Vinification
The soil consists of calcareous bathonia, rich in iron and marl, which gives the wine structure and concentration. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in oak barrels to give the wine additional complexity.
