About the wine
This strong Pinot Noir 2012 — Pommard Les Arvelets crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. This Pinot Noir gets its power and energy from the gravelly, calcareous soils in Burgundy. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine A.F. Gros turns it into a real treat with a lot of emotion. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Pinot Noir can be served very well with red meat or cheese.

Tasting note
This 1er Cru is intensely aromatic with blackberry fruit, mineral notes and subtle wood. On the palate, it combines a melty fruit component and high concentration with typical robust pommard tannin. A stocky, intense wine with bite and character.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with duck, venison.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and brought to the cellar within 10 minutes. The vinification takes place in enamelled concrete and wooden vats. The Pommard 1er Cru Les Arvelets is then aged for an average of 18 months in 65% new barrels.
