Tasting note
Amber with golden reflections. On the nose, complex aromas of dried fruits, walnuts, caramelized almonds and delicate spicy notes. Velvety on the palate, with lively acidity, intense sweetness and a persistent, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with nut cakes, chocolate desserts, or aged cheeses like Stilton. Also ideal as a pure digestive.
Vinification
The grapes are traditionally tamped with the feet and then fermented in Lagares. After fortification with brandy, the wine ages in small wooden barrels for decades to develop the typical Colheita notes.
