About the wine
Hermann Dörflinger was one of the first winemakers in southern Baden to produce uncompromisingly dry wines. He has always remained true to this guideline. His fine, complex and fruity Pinot Blanc, his elegant Gutedel, his very appealing Chardonnay, but also his complex Pinot Noir testify to the class of this winery. In the typical Gutedel growing region - also known elsewhere as Chasselas or Fendant - Dörflinger did not want to follow the trend towards sweeping goodness with an exotic fruit note any more than other fashion trends. The traditionalist, on the other hand, is more likely to rely on classic, varietal production. His courage to let the grapes ripen longer on the vine in autumn is also rewarded. Despite heavy must weights, his wines always retain elegance and freshness. Hermann Dörflinger is no longer an insider tip; his company is now considered one of the top addresses in Markgräflerland in southern Baden.
