About the wine
What Markus Schneider has achieved in recent years is hard to believe. In 1994, he started from scratch, so to speak. And today, 22 years later, he and his team process over 92 hectares, fill around 800,000 bottles a year and is described by the German trade press as The Phenomenon and The Favourite of the Young Scene.
Tasting note
Light golden yellow, extremely aromatic and intense on the nose with aromas of grapefruit, lime, gooseberries and freshly cut grass. On the palate, with invigorating acidity and notes of kiwi, grapefruit and green asparagus. The aftertaste is persistent with pleasant fruity notes and subtle minerality.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Sauvignon Blanc «Kaitui» trocken harmoniert ideal mit Muscheln, Fisch und Geisskäse.
Vinification
After selective manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately cooled. Controlled fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks.
