About the wine
Blooming and fertile landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Planeta conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. With the strong white wine 2019 — Sicilia Menfi DOC Chardonnay, you can offer your family and friends something very special. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Chardonnay with truffles or soft cheese.
Tasting note
Golden yellow color, intense nose, scent of apricot, peach with balsamic notes, full and soft on the palate, a perfect combination of wood, fruit and acidity, long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with smoked fish, scampi, lentils, roast veal with mushroom sauce
Vinification
Fermented in Allier oak barrels at around 17-19°C for 5/7 days. The first 5 months with weekly bâtonnage, then every 14 days. 12 months aging in Allier oak barrels (40% new/30% 2nd round/30% 3rd round)
