About the wine
Do you already know the distinctive Merlot Stuhlwerker with the 2008 vintage? If not, it's time! The winemaker from the Austrian Weingut Johann Böheim masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the sunny landscape in Carnuntum. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Merlot can be served with poultry or slightly spicy, red meat.

Tasting note
Rich, deep dark ruby red. Dark berry notes on the nose, accompanied by spices and roasted aromas. The palate is very rich, fleshy and juicy with a firm tannin structure. An enormous amount of fruit in the aftertaste. It's simply a power wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with entrecote double, chateaubriand, carre of lamb with rosemary crust, grilled meats, spicy tuna and various types of cheese.
Vinification
Ageing for 12-18 months in barriques.
