About the product
In the Scottish port of Port Ruighe on the island of Skye, trade flourished until the 19th century. Among other things, port wine came ashore here, which Scottish sailors brought to Scotland from Portugal. This whiskey was completed in port wine barrels.

Tasting note
Dark amber in the glass. On the nose, smoky notes of peat and sea salt, accompanied by sweet aromas of ripe berries and port wine. Full-bodied and spicy on the palate, with a harmonious balance of smoke, fruitiness and slight spiciness. The finish is long, warm and slightly peppery, typical of a talisker with a maritime character.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect for hearty dishes such as grilled lamb, smoked meats or aged hard cheese. Dark chocolate or desserts with berries and caramel also harmonize perfectly with the smoky and fruity notes of this whiskey.
