About the wine

The winemaker from the Italian winery Le Vigne di Silvia masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and fertile landscape of Tuscany. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this hefty Cabernet Franc 2019 — Toscana IGT Itinerante. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this cabernet franc with meatballs with tomato sauce or lamb.

Tasting note
Deep ruby red, broad bouquet with notes of cherries, cassis and fresh herbs, juicy on the palate with structured tannins, long and sweeping finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meats and cheeses, but also with certain fish dishes that are typical of Bolgheri's local cuisine.
Vinification
Grape harvest at the end of September Fermentation with its own yeasts, maceration for 20 days. The ageing takes place over 15 months in French barriques. New wood content 1/3.
