About the wine

The winemaker from the Spanish winery Ramiro has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the beautiful and graceful landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon). With the special Ramiro's from 2012, you will positively surprise your guests.

Robert Parker: 91/100Vegan
Both in bouquet and taste, the aromas are wide-ranging and range from amarena cherry and blood orange to clove, cinnamon and coconut to caramel and chocolate. In the massive body, the noticeable but fine-grained tannins and a juicy, supportive acidity form a strong backbone. A massive wine with a long finish.
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 3-20 years after harvest.
Information on vinification: The hand-picked grapes come from carefully selected small plots from the Toro and Ribera del Duero zones. The grapes are gently pressed with an aluminum basket press and then subjected to a maceration period of 15 days. During fermentation, the must is pumped over daily to obtain better extraction. The ageing takes place in 80% new French barriques and 20% new American barriques. Bottling takes place after 28 months of aging without fining and filtration.
